Thank you for making an initial enquiry with us. Here at The Stables Restaurant we have been welcoming guests for over 40 years and truly believe there is no substitute for experience. We will work hard to ensure that your group booking is an enjoyable one.
We also believe that each group will have different requirements and therefore the following menus are only suggestions, which have worked well for other groups, but may not be what you are looking for, if that is the case we will be happy to tailor make arrangements to your own specifications. This can be done by telephoning our duty manager on 01389 752148.



MENU ONE - £9:95 p.p.
Fresh fillet of Haddock : House famous Steak Pie, made from prime Scottish beef topped with puff pastry : Supreme of chicken, oven roasted and served with a light gravy : Penne pasta in a tomato & mediteranean vegetable sauce :
Hot from the oven Scone served with butter, fresh cream and jam : freshly brewed tea or coffee

MENU TWO - £13.95p.p.
Starters: Soup of the Day homemade using only the freshest ingredients : Egg mayonnaise salad Mains :Supreme of Chicken, oven roasted and served with light gravy : House famous Steak Pie, made from prime Scottish Beef topped with puff pastry : Vegetable stroganof : Fresh fillet of Haddock
Puddings:Chocolate fudge cake with cream : Vanilla Ice Cream with fresh fruit :freshly brewed tea or coffee

MENU THREE - £16:95 p.p.
Starters: Seasonal Melon : Soup of the Day homemade using only the freshest of ingredients :
Chicken liver Pate with crusty bread
Mains: Stir fried sirloin of beef in hoi sin sauce served with rice : Supreme of Chicken served with a fresh cream and button mushroom sauce : Vegetable medley in a filo pastry basket :
Fresh Haddock lightly poached in a Mornay Sauce
Puddings: hot apple pie served with custard sauce : Wafer basket filled with mix of dairy ice creams : Vanilla Cheesecake with fresh cream : Freshly brewed Tea or Coffee served with tablet
MENU FOUR - TASTE OF SCOTLAND - £18:95
Starters:
Cullen Skink - a rich creamy fish and potato soup
Crowdie potato Cake - pattie of smoked ham, onion and potato
Seasonal Melon with a Glayva whisky liqueur and butterscotch coulis
Mains:
Chicken Highlander - freshly roasted breast of Chicken stuffed with locally "caught" haggis, with a cream sauce
Grilled Scottish Salmon
Leg of Lamb - whole joint of Scotch lamb braised in a red wine gravy
Puddings:
Raspberry Cranachan - raspberry mousse made with oats served on a meringue nest
Scottish Cheddar served with oat cakes
Sherry Trifle :Freshly brewed tea or coffee served with tablet


MENU FIVE - £21:75
Starters:
Prawn cocktail - traditionally served norwegian prawns on a bed of lettuce topped with marie rose sauce accompanied by brown bread
Baked brie served with seasonal salad leaves
Chicken liver pate served with redcurrant sauce and crusty bread
Mains:
Prime Scotch Sirloin Steak - cooked to your preference and served with your choice of diane or pepper sauce
Grilled Salmon Steak simply served with lemon butter
Chicken Chasseur- breast of chicken prepared in white wine and mushroom sauce
Breaded flat mushroom served on dauphinoise potato
